Year overview

In 2025 the Innovation Center under the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic continued its work on startup support, innovation ecosystem development, science outreach, and STEM education.

Key metrics

  • More than 30 events were delivered across different formats.
  • The center organized 44 excursions for universities, schools, and visitors.
  • The coworking space was used 145 times, with 30 active residents.
  • Patent and scientific-technical information services reached 1,056 users, including 264 new users.
  • The team completed 7 patent searches and provided 11 intellectual property consultations.
  • More than 200 learners took part in programs on robotics, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and computer literacy.

Major initiatives

The yearly program included business forums, training sessions, pitch events, STEM olympiads, maker workshops, and meetings focused on innovation, green energy, and technology transfer. MakerFest Bishkek 2025, the national STEM Olympiad, and the Student Startup pilot program were among the most visible initiatives.

Prototyping work

The center also supported the creation of practical prototypes based on patented inventions, including a fruit collection container and an automatic dosing device for sanitizing door handles. These projects show how the center helps move ideas from patents into usable products.

Result

By the end of 2025, the Innovation Center had strengthened its position as an operating platform for startups, students, inventors, and researchers through infrastructure, expert guidance, and educational programs.
